Alienware Unveils New Area-51 Gaming Desktop PC

Alienware has unveiled the new version of the company’s very famous flagship Area-51 desktop system and the company has taken the new system to a whole new level with its unique design.
The Area-51’s uniquely designed triangular-shaped chassis, which the company is codenaming “Triad”, is meant to maximize performance, accessibility, and cooling of the system. The design pulls cool air through the front diagonal of the chassis and warmed is pushed out diagonally and away through the rear of the chassis. Combined with the interior layout and components, this makes for a cool and quiet system. Additionally, the front of the chassis features an easily accessible front I/O panel and grips for convenient pivoting of the chassis for easy access to the system’s rear ports.
“We’re excited to reveal the reimagined Alienware Area-51, a system that is the result of 18 years of innovation fueled by our love of gaming,” said Frank Azor, General Manager of Alienware. “We questioned everything and then began working on a system based on how we actually use our full-tower desktops rather than based on what was quick, easy or comfortable for us to design. The Area-51 features the all-new Triad chassis, designed from the ground up to deliver on exactly what gamers want, state-of-the-art performance, scalability and ease of use.”
The uniquely designed Area-51 system will feature the latest Haswell-based 6-core or 8-core Intel Core i7 Extreme processors coupled with the latest Intel X99 Express chipset, up to 32GB of quad channel 2133Mhz DDR4 memory, up to three of the latest graphics cards from either AMD or NVIDIA that are capable of reaching 4K gaming resolutions, the fastest 802.11ac protocol, and a mix of hard and solid-state drives. Additionally, each Area-51 system will ship factory overclocked and liquid-cooled. Lastly, the Area-51 comes with version 4.0 of the Alienware Command Center where users can customize and personalize the systems lighting as well as monitor and customize the system’s hardware.
The new Alienware Area-51 gaming desktop PC will begin shipping in the US sometime in October and the rest of the world this holiday season.
